On December 25, 2011 (in this hemisphere) starting at 1 PM US Eastern time (New York) we will be having a special event for people who might otherwise be alone. We ask you to join us.
There will be a pre-recorded talk by Tom Costello titled, “The 12 Stresses of Christmas and Other Holidays.” The theme of this talk is to acknowledge some of the commonly experienced stresses and considering different viewpoints to reduce some of that stress.
You don’t have to wait until Christmas Day to listen to the recording. You can download it here or listen to it on your computer with the player just below.
Tom will be asking you to do some drawing so he created a hand-out to help you do that. Get it first and print it!
At 2:15 PM Tom and Mary Ann Costello will be having a live call that you can join by telephone, Skype, and through the internet. The length of this part of the call will be at least an hour and perhaps more, depending on the attendance and how much interaction we get. This is not our Thursday night “Q & A” but an open conversation between a loving family. This is a place for sharing by the people attending, albeit if someone needs to ask a question, we will try and answer it!
The theme of this portion of the interactive event will be “Opening Our Gifts”.
A typical Christmas morning can be the process of getting or not getting the gifts we wanted. Today, however, we will focus on the gifts we have already received in our lives from the main ‘gift givers’, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, grandmothers, grandfathers, aunts, uncles, spouses, daughters, sons, grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, mentors, teachers, and others.
It is our choice to look for experiences in our lives that we can appreciate and which have before and can again instill gratitude and joy. Since most of us want more feelings of gratitude and joy, on this day, we will focus on re-living those experiences and fond memories.
The plan during “Opening Our Gifts” is to recall and speak of the times our growth was supported, we were nourished in some meaningful way such as someone showing confidence in us, how someone helped us heal from a deep hurt, protected us from a lie or threat that would have distorted our sense of self, when our needs were met in kind and gentle ways, and more.
This is not a discussion of “toys I have received” but rather a round-table discussion/free-for-all about the inputs from others that have added value to our lives, our sense of our own Identities, and our willingness to do the same later in our lives.
Another way of putting it is, the gifts are when we were connected to the energies of other people and we felt more secure as us, more willing to create good in the world.
Since we anticipate a full call, we suggest you ‘prepare’ a brief description of the gift you want to share with others on the call. Please also be prepared to talk about the givers of the gift and the value you received from it. Who nurtured you? Who taught you the values that have helped you survive and thrive?
This will be a wonderful experience for all of us.

Here in UK on Boxing Day have just listened to Tom Costello’s 12 Stresses of Christmas talk and was puzzled that he did not mention what is the No.1 stress for a lot of people and that is LONELINESS AT CHRISTMAS. At 67 years of age I have just spent another lonely holiday time and am bracing myself for the next stress test of trying to find someone to go on summer holiday with (these are miserable on your own too). I have spent nearly 40 years working with healing, affirmations and visualizations and still don’t seem to be any further forward. I guess picking yourself up and dusting yourself off (have I heard that in a song somewhere before?) is the only thing to do but as you get older it gets harder and you get tired when you see few results.
I can relate to you Chris. I read on the internet that many of the seniors in the UK are forgotten during the holidays but I live in the US and it is like that too. I agree with you that the No. 1 stress for the holidays is loneliness during the holidays. I am 60 and I spent it alone and many times before that. I don’t like it but you get use to it and look at it as another day. I did DVR all my shows so I could avoid all the Christmas ads. I have family that lives 3000 miles away but couldn’t afford to make the visit and many of my friends live in other states and the ones near me are with their own families. I also have meditated for years and years and have listened to the Law of Attraction and so many healing podcasts and CDs but I don’t seem to be much further forward myself. I wonder what we are doing wrong! It is true as you get older, you have more health problems and I have been very discouraged when I eat healthy, take expensive supplements and anti-aging products but lately just aren’t working I some times feel like giving up but I keep on looking for that miracle. I did watch online a Christmas Eve service by Neale Donald Walsch which was awesome and I watched a Christmas special by David Foster and Andrea Bocelli, who I love. On Christmas Day I listened to Ghost to Ghost 2011 Halloween show by coasttocoastam.com because I am a Coast Insider. I hope we both have a better holiday season next year, if we are still here, as we are very close to 2012.
I am meeting People involved with the Healing Codes just from reading the book.
A woman stopped by me with her boy who had been in an auto accident,lost a leg, and they did not think he would live. She did the healing codes(Just from the book) over him for
3 months. I told her about the WED. & THUR. calls along with Christmas. People are
getting it everywhere. Her son is doing better than the doctors expected. Of course.. This community always pulls me out of a jam. Tom..someone always
calls in with the right question and you always give just what I need to hear. Merry Christmas to all of you! Peace and Love to all of you . To the woman with breathing problems, my mom used a portable oxygen backpack to get around .

I just received your email and I am so glad that you are doing this on Christmas Day for people, like myself who will be alone that day. If it wasn’t for the internet, I don’t know how I would survive these holidays. I live alone and have many health problems and I just sprained my left ankle again when I sprained it last year. I also have celiac disease and have to be very careful with what I eat so most of my friends don’t even invite me because of this and my family lives 3000 miles away in Mass. and I am from Olympia, WA. I know I am not alone but it sure does feel like it when you are by yourself. I am looking forward to the teleseminar on Christmas Day.

Your program sounds very interesting, however we will be out all day on the 25th. Is there any chance it will be recorded, so we can watch it at a later time? Our philosophy has been that it’s more important to stress what we might give at Christmas time, rather than what we might get.
