The Healing Codes and Family Dynamics

Melissa Zoske, Certified Healing Codes PractitionerI just had my family come visit, and I have to say it was one of the best visits ever. It wasn’t good, just in the fact that we did fun things, like the fair and playing cards, but it “felt” good. We all really enjoyed each other’s company. I didn’t feel tension or stress being around them for an extended period of time. It was so nice to be able to relax, love on these people that raised me, and just accept them and myself for who we all are.

It wasn’t always like that, I used to get so tense the closer a visit came. I never felt like I fit in, that I was lacking in some way, that something must be wrong with me. I always loved them, that was never a question. It was a question to me whether “they” loved me back. I can see now, after working with The Healing Codes, so much of that was my perception.

Perception has probably been the biggest impact in our lives, and yet we don’t seem to give it the respect we should. Small things happen in our childhood, that we see at that time as catastrophic, and amplify it even more because of our young age. As adults we say, “That was really ridiculous, and wasn’t all that bad.” The reality is yes, it wasn’t “that bad,” as we see it now. The other side to that is yes it was, to you back then, and that memory can still have an incredible impact on you today.

I was trying to explain this to my Aunt this last weekend. Even if we have consciously come to accept that those memories weren’t that traumatic, there is a younger part of you still holding these events in. These memories replay themselves, and anything that comes up today, that resonates with them, can make you agitated, anxious or stressed in some way. You may not even know why you are feeling this way, but the discomfort you feel is enough to ruin a perfectly good day.

What I am trying to get across, is that as adults we can work on ourselves, and change how we feel about everything that happened, even if it was traumatic. We can choose to feel at peace with the person those experiences have made, the person we are today.

I can say that today I feel so much better about my family. I feel so comfortable, not only with them, but with myself while we are together. We play games, we joke, we laugh and we talk about the good old times. I can even tease my grumpy old Dad, and sometimes I will catch a very small glimpse of a smile.

I’ve worked through a lot of old, “stuff”, and it did take some time. The reward is this relationship with these people that are not always going to be around. I get to enjoy them today, instead of holding onto many perceptions, which should have changed long ago. Perceptions, which unchanged, could have left me looking back with regret and deep sadness after they are gone.

I am so grateful for this gift, The Healing Codes, which has enabled me to change myself and how I feel about my life and the people in it. Really that is what life is about, right? To be able to grow into the experiences we want, not hold onto the bad experiences from the past.

Have You Skipped A Day Doing The Healing Code

Many times life just get’s busy or you are with others and can’t get away, or maybe you are just plain tired and don’t feel like it. Whatever the reason for missing doing your healing code that day, I’m here to tell you its OK.

I know I’ve said in the past that consistency is so very important, and it is, but if you’ve missed a day, the last thing that is going to help is stressing about it. Worrying or stressing is exactly what The Healing Codes is trying to reduce.

I have missed doing my codes before and I know I will miss doing them in the future.  Sometimes I purposely take a day off and it’s still OK.

This whole process is to help you create a more relaxing space. It helps reduce not only current stress, but stress that has been accumulated throughout your life.  A great way to describe it is called the “Barrel Effect”. If the barrel gets to full it will start spilling over the top and creating a mess around it.  Our bodies could be thought of in a similar way. As we go about living our lives we are continually adding stress. Most of the time we take breaks, have down time, play some and learn ways to unwind. This will reduce our load and keep our Barrels from spilling over.  If we don’t learn to relax, or just don’t take the time to do so, our system starts to overfill with this stress. When that happens whatever is the weakest link, and trust me we all have them, is affected.

Keep in mind stress comes in many packages, it can be physical as well as emotional.  We come into contact everyday with new stronger viruses and other infections that our bodies are tasked with fighting. There are chemicals all around us that weren’t there 100 years ago, and our bodies are given this job to filter them as well. Then you add our fast paced lives and WOW, can you blame our poor bodies for dropping behind a bit? This doesn’t even bring up the impact of an astronomical stress in our life, like the loss of a loved one or a life altering diagnosis.

Our job is to help our bodies and minds relieve this stress, so that our perfectly made immune system can do the job it was divinely created to do. If we keep our barrel load within a good balance everything should then work properly.

Skipping a day doing your codes is definitely not the end of the world, so please don’t add that stress to your Barrel. The Healing Codes are a wonderful tool to help keep your Barrel from overflowing. It is cumulative so you aren’t starting over if you’ve missed a code. By doing it consistently over time, you will feel the difference as your body begins to relax.

Give yourself the time to allow The Healing Codes to do it’s job. Relax while you are doing it and please above all enjoy this journey. It was brought to you for a reason and the experiences you will gain from it are meant for you alone.

Emotions Are Not Just Feelings

Emotions bring to mind Joy, tears, sadness, grief, anger and a whole bundle of other feelings. It doesn’t bring to mind, for many, what exactly these emotions do to our bodies on a physical level.

When I first started writing this post I had a large list of chemical reactions the body went through while feeling emotions.  From adrenalin and cortisol to dopamine and serotonin, to name only a few.

I was getting way to scientific, and to be honest I love what I call ,“emotional science”, but I know just enough to get myself in trouble. We realize that when we look at  a sleeping baby we may feel an intense AHWWWWW feeling. On a chemical level it is releasing oxytocin. This chemical creates a feeling of being connected or feeling love. There are many emotions that create different chemicals in the body

Basically all you need to know, is every emotion you have, creates a chemical chain reaction. These reactions in the body either lift you up, with healing components, or take you down. Think about this while you are working on a healthier life, whether that’s in physical or emotional health, relationships, or career. You need to understand that by altering how you feel and respond to stresses in your life, will directly impact all of these areas.

If you are trying to heal a diseased body do you really think the feelings of anger, rage or hatred will help this condition? I think the exact opposite happens, it actually accelerates the disease.

On the flip side, positive feelings promote health, and put your body in a growth/repair state.

Many have used affirmations, to try to change their emotions, to repair their health. While this is a great start to making a change in your life, it isn’t the most effective.

If you are saying an affirmation that you are 100% healthy, and yet you are ridden with disease, you are essentially lying to yourself. This creates more stress, which of course releases more negative chemicals in your body, promoting the exact opposite of what you set out to do.

Working with The Healing Codes, we suggest focusing on releasing the negative emotions first. While actually doing the Code, the positive emotions or beliefs you need, are being uploaded at that time.  By working in this order you are creating more loving attention your body and mind are craving.

Here is an example of steps The Healing Codes use to get you started.

  1.    Find the negative emotion or feeling you want to change
  2.    Put this emotion into your prayer or intention to be addressed or healed.
  3.    Relax while doing the hand positions focusing on feelings that are uplifting, or the desired result you want. For instance how would it “FEEL” if you had  complete health.

It’s really not complicated at all, and is just a matter of sitting down and getting started.

Let today be the day you allow your positive emotions to impact your life. After all emotions are NOT just feelings.
