Thanks-giving and Healing

Here in the U.S. we recently celebrated Thanksgiving.

It has always been one of my favorite holidays. Not only do I love the food we eat (turkey, stuffing, cranberry stuff, the spiced sweet potato dish I make, and pumpkin pie). Thanks-giving has turned my life around.

Back when I was a mother of a 4-year-old and a newborn, I suffered from a post-partem depression. (The Healing Codes were not yet discovered then.)

One of the things that got me out of that depression was gratitude.

Specifically, I began to look for at least three things daily that felt like “gifts.” Three things I could be thankful for.

Usually I found more than three. In fact, I found so many that 260 of the stories ended up in the publication of my book, Abundant Gifts. (You can find out more a

Focusing on past “gifts” or current blessings is a great thing to do when you are doing a Healing Code. Think of any time in your life when you felt appreciative of something or someone, a time when something touched you deeply. There will be healing power in that memory.

Or focus on whatever is good in your life now.

You might even take the challenge to write down at least 3 things for which you are grateful for each day. I can almost guarantee that it will change things for you.

You don’t need a holiday to practice thanks-giving. I hope you practice “giving thanks” as often as possible.

As an encouragement to you, I would also like to share some good news for which I personally am giving thanks, along with some of my clients.

First, there is the wonderful miracle of Vinny, the boy who had an inoperable benign brain tumor on his brain stem. (The full story is here,)

It’s been more than 2 years since he was diagnosed. On November 18, 2013 Vinny had another MRI of his brain. There is no trace of any tumor or cyst; all is perfectly normal!

Other clients have reported physical and emotional healing. One client who has a pre-leukemia state reported that her blood tests show everything is normal for the first time. Another client just wrote to tell me how the bulging disk

Another client undergoing chemotherapy reports that her blood tests are also normal.

In both cases, all they are doing differently is The Healing Codes.

Other clients report more peace, different ways of interacting with people, improvements at work.

The Healing Codes work, if you continue to work with them. They are not a magic bullet. Nobody can tell you at what rate you will heal, or even what will heal firt. Your job is to put yourself in the way of healing by way of identifying your heart issues as best you can (don’t worry if you can’t remember, just work with what you can), and doing The Healing Codes faithfully.

As you do, remember to give thanks. I firmly believe God strews gifts across our path every day. Many times we don’t even notice them, because we’re too preoccupied with our problems.

When we open our eyes, we notice them. And that can change everything.

Then, when you give thanks for all you notice, you amplify the results and bring more of the same.

Think about any relationship. When you give someone a gift and they never acknowledge it, does it encourage you to give again? But if they receive it with delight, then you too are gratified. Will you be motivated to give that person another gift?

I certainly would. And I think God feels the same way. Jesus said the Father delights to give good gifts to his children (Matthew 7:11).

Thanks-giving and healing. A lot of healing happens from and in the giving of thanks.

Let’s make every day a day of thanks-giving, with or without the turkey!
